Review: I would have to say that Ocarina of Time is one of the best  games that I have ever played, and maybe the best game that I have  every played on the N64.
The story is very good and is at all points very smooth and parallel. Although it is still a slight knock of  of your average RPG story, its still manages to be a very creative game. It was great to see that the story  stuck very close to previous Zelda games. It also manages to be humorous at times while keeping the  overall perspective very serious, which is not an easy thing to do. The game is also quite difficult,  consisting of nine total "dungeons". One of these is the Water Temple, famous for it ridiculously difficult  puzzles (I didn't think it was that hard, but its still very common to here conversations about Water  Temple). There are quite a few little side-quest you can do, which can be pretty fun: fishing, racing,  gathering cuccos, and much more. As long as the game is there is never any tediously repetitive quests  required.
Wow, the graphics were completely amazing. I realize that they aren't much now, but think back to when  it came out, James Bond 007, that game was considered to have good graphics and then Ocarina of  TIme came out ...I almost fainted. It was a new age of graphics for N64. One of the biggest differences  was the stressed use of textures. Texturing is the biggest noticeable difference when you think way back  to Super Mario 64 up to Ocarina of Time. Lighting was also a very nice improvement. One strong pointer  to this is Link's fairy Navi who glows creating a shadow at Link's feet, also nearby objects light up when  Navi is near to them. The torches have the same effect. Lighting adds to the very relaxing environment of  Lon Lon Ranch and to the erie darkness in Shadow Temple.
The music is also very good. It always fits 100% perfect in with the surroundings. The only place where  this could be questioned is in Gerudo valley, but still very good none the less. Also, Link's "Yah" noises  when he swings his sword was also very neat. I realize this is strange of me, but one of my favorite  sounds is when equipping a magic arrow.
This game is a near perfect recreation of A Link to the Past in 3D. This game will hopefully forever be a  classic.
